Son of Kal-El and Lois Lane from a world unlike most Earths. Accidentally punched a hole in the Multiverse (it got better) with his powers. His strained relationship with his family led to an eager exploration of the Multiverse and the realization that maybe his priorities need readjusting from entitled Superbrat to heroic Superboy. Or at least maybe a heroic Superpunk.
Personality
A heroic teen that might like being a hero a little too much. Might be a bit of a stereotypical popular kid, maybe a little bit of a cocky jerk at times, but underneath he has a deep-seated need to feel special and despite his knack for resisting mind games and manipulation, this is his blind spot. He's done some questionable things to please those who tapped into this flaw, but deep down he's a good kid, if maybe a little broken.
Background
In The Beginning
A long time ago, at the beginning, a budding universe split into two. In one, Kal-El of a doomed Krypton was sent out into the universe to escape the fate of his planet. He grew up on Earth as Clark Kent, donned the Superman identity as Earth's sole superhero, married Lois Lane, had twin boys, and moved back to Smallville when they were teens.
In the other, a world similar but quite strange, a cubic Earth, revolving a cubic red sun, also knew a Kal-El, refugee from a doomed Krypton. This Kal-El became a hero, unhindered by a human identity. He also married Lois Lane, giving her the luxurious life of a super celebrity. They also had twin boys, but moved to Smallville when they were babies. With celebrity going to his head, Kal-El moved his family back to Metropolis, the great Superman Kal-El, Earth's only superhero. His sons living in luxury but lost in his shadow.
Htrae
Jonathan-El was a popular kid in high school, a jock who played several sports. But his father was always busy, saving people and basking in the glory, for celebrity and super power had gone a bit to his head. At a celebrity event, a window washer fell from his platform, but Superman failed to notice. Jonathan did, though, and decided to rescue him, revealing his powers (which manifested months earlier but he kept hidden) to his family and the world. Superman was delighted to have his son accompany him as Superboy. But the two butted heads and Jonathan eventually quit due to feeling his father only cared about him because he now had powers.
Though he was forbidden from playing his sports, he became something of a team inspiration instead, cheered on his former teammates, performed with the cheerleaders with super stunts, and retained his status as one of the cool kids. But rejecting his father left Jonathan seeking a deeper attention elsewhere and was influenced by a cult who wanted to merge the two universes back into one.
While this plan was thwarted halfway through the process, the now-combined artifact that was being used was destroyed, the twin energies that had come together to enact the universe merge was infused into Jonathan, who had been trying to protect the cult leader. The two universes split back into their separate halves, the portal was shut, and Jonathan was stranded in the other universe, an Earth with a yellow sun fast depriving him of his power.
Earth(s)
Jonathan had been detained by the authorities of the round Earth for his part in the plot, held in a cell fitted with a yellow solar field generator. He found himself hearing the thoughts of his counterpart, the Jonathan Kent of this Earth. His absorption of the ancient artifact's energy allowed him to tap into his counterpart and absorb yellow solar energy safely from him. He escaped and sought out the other Jonathan, but he was stopped.
The attempt to return him to his cell failed and he fled. In a fit of rage and destruction at the mine where the portal between Earths had been, his changed nature allowed him to accidentally punch a hole in the multiverse, and move to a third Earth. Another round Earth with a yellow sun, something he later found to be the norm for Earths he visited. But without his counterpart to safely siphon yellow solar energy from, he was quickly reduced to a pathetic human.
Living as a stranger, having to deal with being nornal again, not even having his old life of celebrity, he had to live as a vagrant. Doing odd jobs here and there, stealing food when he had to, he was forced to face true humility for the first time in his life. Humbled, he began a journey of self-reflection that he still struggles with. For he came across a way to restore his powers under a yellow sun. A crystalline rock, which he later would learn was red kryptonite, reversed his solar affinity as long as it was in his presense. Since that Earth had no overt superheroes, Jonathan resisted the urge to become the first and instead punched through to another Earth.

Jonathan played all the sports before his Kryptonian genetics kicked in.

Jonathan was trained in melee, ranged, and eventually powered combat by his father.
Deception - Expert Level
Jonathan was able to keep his manifested powers a secret, even from his father, for months before he outed himself. He has always been a great liar, a social chameleon, able to use words and body language to get almost anyone to believe what he wants them to. He's also adept at sussing out lies, mistruths, and self-deception in others.
Investigation - Competant Level
Jonathan is the son of Lois Lane, research and investigation is in his genes. Maybe not as honed a skill as his mother, but it's there.
Tactics - Competent Level
Jonathan has proven to be a formidable tactician, especially when it comes to maneuvers of deception.
Willpower - Expert Level
Jonathan is a very stubborn and persistent person when he wants to be. When he's determined, it's hard to sway him with threats.
Mind games, whether mundane or psychic, are unlikely to be effective for long as he's adept at both noticing them and turning them around.
ABILITIES
Power: Arctic Vision - Enhanced Level
Jonathan can emit beams of heat-destroying energy that tends to form chilled mist from moisture in the air along their path and freeze ice onto whatever they hit. These beams tend to have a force behind them that can push targets back or damage weaker structures.
Power: Breathing - Enhanced Level
Jonathan can inhale a large amount of air and hold it for twenty-four hours before he must expel it. This allows him to survive in the depths of the ocean or in outer space for about a day at a time without assistence.
Power: Fire Breath - Enhanced Level
Jonathan can expel air in a superheated and enflamed state. Using his mouth, he can shape this as finely as a cutting torch or as broadly as a flame thrower.
Power: Flight - Enhanced Level
Jonathan can achieve flight through the manipulation of kinetic forces around his body. He can achieve hypersonic speeds.
Power: Healing - Enhanced Level
Jonathan's body heals most minor wounds instantly, moderate wounds within minutes, and major trauma more quickly than humans.
Inverse Kryptonian
Jonathan is a Kryptonian hybrid and shares most aspects of Kryptonian biology, though some aspects may differ due to his hybrid status and to his universe of origin. For instance, his breath and vision are inverted (fire breath and arctic vision), kryptonite has the opposite or otherwise unusual effects, the suns under which he gains or loses energy is reversed. Some of his powers are not quite as strong as a full-blooded Kryptonian, and he lacks the naturally dense flesh of a full Kryptonian, relying entirely on the invulnerability bestowed by his kinetic power.
Power: Invulnerability - Supreme Level
Jonathan's body tends to be impervious to harm by utilizing a nearly impenetrable kinetic field. This field filters out harmful substances that would cause illness and disease as well. This field extends a very short distance and would include clothing and anything held close. Jonathan's body can survive the pressure and environment of the ocean depths and outer space.
Power: Multiversal Punch - Plot Level
Jonathan is able to utilize his Kryptonian kinetic ability, infused with primordial multiversal energy, to punch holes through the walls between universes, whether punching into or through the Bleed or punching into or through the Otherworld. He can control where he goes if he's familiar with the destination, but he can also punch blindly and end up almost anywhere. These holes are quickly sealed up by the multiverse healing itself, but they do allow others time to cross through if the World Barrier doesn't prevent them.
Power: Senses - Supreme Level
Jonathan's senses are enhanced by his kinetic power, able to see the edge of the solar system from Earth, able to see the microscopic, able to see through most substances (notably excepting gold, copper, and kryptonite), able to detect most of the electromagnetic spectrum, able to hear the entire planet at once, able to hear the entire auditory range, able to smell something on the other side of the planet.
The infusion of his body with primordial multiversal energy has also left him with the ability to sense anomalies in the frabric of reality such as weak spots in the walls between worlds or matter out of phase.
Power: Speed - Enhanced Level
Jonathan can move many times as fast as a peak human, reaching supersonic speeds in an atmospheric environment. When he does this, to his perspective, time moves much slower, allowing him to react to an almost still environment.
Power: Stamina - Enhanced Level
Jonathan's absorption of solar energy gives him vastly increased stamina, allowing him to be active for days with little rest. He's also able to use his kinetic energy stores in place of metabolized food, leaving him with a vastly decreased need to eat, and then mostly just to keep his proteins and vitamins and such upkept.
Power: Strength - Supreme Level
Jonathan can utilize a strength far beyond human potential through tactile kinetic field manipulation. This extends to whatever he touches and allows him to lift something through a part that might otherwise bend or break. This also prevents items used as weapons or tools from breaking, even fragile materials like glass.

Kryptonite
GREEN:
Green kryptonite radiation makes inverse Kryptonians stronger, enhancing their abilities and healing them of ailments they might be suffering from.
RED:
Red kryptonite radiation causes inverse Kryptonians to absorb "yellow sun" energy and be drained by "red sun" energy.
GOLD:
Gold kryptonite radiation causes inverse Kryptonians to absorb compatible solar energy faster, replenishing a fully-drained inverse Kryptonian's reserves in seconds.
Language
People on Jonathan's Earth speak and write backwards compared to most other worlds. Jonathan can speak and write English both ways, though normal English sometimes still trips him up. He can also speak and write inverse Kryptonian while normal Kryptonian still confuses him.
Red Kryptonite
Jonathan has had a chunk of red kryptonite carved into a variety of jewelry and other accessories.
Note that even if he were to wear every piece, he'd absorb enough of the red kryptonite radiation to render it all ineffective for anyone else. Any pieces he's not wearing or carrying, though, would affect anyone normally.
Ring
Jonathan's class ring, which he already had the gem replaced with red kryptonite, has a small extradimensional space in which Jonathan holds his favored clothes. He can have it expel its contents, dress how he likes, and return what's left to the ring.
Sunstone
Jonathan took a data crystal from his father's fortress for safe keeping, hoping to find its counterpart on the other Earth. He never had the chance, but he believes the sunstone holds details of the history of the House of El from beyond its founding to the launching of Kal-El to escape Krypton's destruction and his father's personal history on Earth. It appears as a blue crystal shard with one end blunted and carved with the inverse Kryptonian symbol for the House of El. It was being used to power and control his father's fortress in lieu of the sunstone that created it.
WEAKNESSES
Guilt
Jonathan did a lot of questionable things when he was on the cult's leash. Most of it he still doesn't care about. But he hurt people. A verbal confrontation that he blew off at the time actually planted seeds in his heart. Seeds that grew as he was forced to live as a nobody on an Earth he wasn't familiar with. He's no longer an angry teenager lashing out at the world with a cult's dictates backing him up. He's now a young man with, at least a modicum, of respect for the harm he's done and he holds a bit of guilt for hurting people. Especially his family. He tends to hide this guilt, but it's there and it spurs on his role as hero.
Hybrid
Jonathan is half human, which had originally suppressed his powers and led to their instability when they manifested as a teen. While they have stabilized since, he's still a hybrid and it's not a guarantee they will remain stable.
Kryptonite
BLUE:
Blue kryptonite radiation causes inverse Kryptonians intense pain and severely weakens them. Objects made of blue Kryptonite can harm them as if they are human. The radiation can be harnessed to create directed weapons.
The variant of kryptonite found in Jonathan's universe (and found on its twin's Earth in the mine where the portal was opened, known on that Earth as X-Kryptonite or X-K) is (despite being yellow) a twisted form of blue kryptonite and affects inverse Kryptonians like any other blue kryptonite.
GREEN:
While green kryptonite radiation has positive qualities for inverse Kryptonians, it also has drawbacks. Green kryptonite is highly addictive and its overuse can have physical consequences, such as chalky skin, blackish patches on the skin, cracked skin, lack of control over arctic vision, and decreased mental acuity.
GOLD:
Gold kryptonite radiation causes inverse Kryptonians to absorb compatible solar energy faster, facilitating a very real danger of overcharging and causing uncontrolled release of kinetic energy as arctic vision, fire breath, and solar pulses radiating from his body. Sustained overcharge can cause massive damage to an inverse Kryptonian's body on a cellular level.
Mystical Energies
Jonathan is highly vulnerable to the effects of magic-, psionic-, and chi-based attacks, his Kryptonian physiology unable to prevent such energies from wearing him down and harming him.
Narcissism
Jonathan might have seen the error of his self-importance ways, but is still a bit on the cocky side, a little hotheaded. His exploration of the multiverse, cut off from his status as a celebrity and high school popular kid, has softened his ego a bit, but there's still that edge of maybe a little bit of superiority in his own eyes.
One might think the cocky jock would be an alpha male and dominate all he sees. One would be wrong in this case. Despite having a deceptive and resistant mind, there is a gap in Jonathan's defenses. He likes to feel special. He needs to feel special. The lack of feeling this way caused the rift with his father. The way the cult leader treated him made him putty to be molded into an enforcer of the cult's will. He might think of himself as the star of the show, but really anyone who can stroke his ego just the right way can have a good little soldier obeying their every order. It's a dangerous game to play, though, because he does not like being manipulated and if he does manage to catch on, there will be a reckoning.
Oblivion Stone
The amulets used by the Inverse Society on Jonathan's Earth and its twin were two halves of an oblivion stone. Combined and subsequently destroyed, Jonathan was infused with a large portion of the released energy. This has affected him in some ways (as indicated in his abilities Multiversal Punch and Senses), and is detectable by those looking for oblivion stone signatures or multiversal energies. This does not mean he is a living oblivion stone and he cannot be used as one nor does he have the abilities of one. But he may still draw the attention of those seeking one.
Solar Battery
As a hybrid of human and inverse Kryptonian, Jonathan's body stores energy from lower-powered stars like "red suns." This is the source of his abilities and if he doesn't replenish this energy then he loses his abilities.
Higher-powered suns like "yellow suns" actually drain Jonathan's stored energy.
