The Astral Plane is a realm whose regions nearer the physical world tend to largely mirror it, while the deeper one goes, the more abstract the plane becomes. It is interwoven with the nearer aspects of the Otherworld. A mental and spiritual existential plane comprised of pure thought and energy, the Astral Plane connects the physical world to the outer reaches of the Otherworld. On this plane, the raw energy that constitutes the "mind" or "soul" of sentient beings may be manipulated and shaped into specific forms in various ways. This plane can also be traversed, allowing a reasonably powerful psychic to travel great distances in virtually no time at all via planar transit. This plane is home to innumerable spirits and other entities, though relatively little is definitively and widely known about the Astral Plane's true nature.
