|notes=The Guild of Heroes is a prominent organization in [[Arcadia]]. Based out of its guild hall in [[Altur]], it accepts as members anyone who proves their courage and capability. This does not always equate to being a warrior, however. It might mean being an exceptional scholar or explorer, for instance. Members can either choose to be only affiliates, allowing them to accept guild contracts for work and to participate in guild affairs, but those who choose to pay quarterly membership dues are also provided with housing, supplies, equipment, and support services. Simple meals are routinely available in the guild hall for all members, paying or not. The guild hall is also where the guild task board is located, where jobs can be posted and members can choose to undertake them. This is, for many guild members, a solid and dependable means of income.<br />

==Leadership==<br />
The guild is governed by an elected council of masters, each of whom must be a veteran member of the guild, with one member elected to serve as the grandmaster. Elections are held every five years. Apart from these internal affairs, the guild tends to stay out of politics. They exist to support their members and to do good in the land, so they stay out of other matters most of the time.<br />

==Connections==<br />
The guild is loosely allied with the [[Emberwing Order]] and more closely allied with the kingdom of [[Altur]], where they are based. Originally founded by a younger son of one of the kings of Altur, the guild has as such retained strong ties to Altur's royal family, despite their neutral approach to politics.<br />
