Cove was born in Astor's Faire near where the river empties out into the sea and his parents named him after the river they so loved. For most of his life, Cove was absolutely besotten with anything to do with the sea. He loved to go out and swim in the ocean, play, and look for seashells. His father owned a fishing boat he would regularly take out to bring in fish to sell to the town and Cove would always beg his father to board the fishing boat. Whenever possible, Cove was always by the ocean, and one could barely take him elsewhere. One could almost say that the youth was bound to the rippling waters he was named after. One day while fishing, his father's boat scored a rock while he and his son were out at sea and sent most of the men running for safety. While everyone else on the boat had managed to save themselves, Cove went missing and many believed him dead. It wasn't until he came back two weeks later swimming to shore that he seemed to be "off." Out in the depths of the ocean he bonded with a water spirit which was always supposed to be his "other half" and now he had been made whole. It was then his desire to explore the sea and land both and to learn more about people's pasts was born in him. He wanted to learn if there were others like himself.
